Nope. Simply Garden is built for beginners and experienced gardeners alike. The free Windowsill Dreamer plan is designed specifically for people starting their first garden.

It's a geographic area defined by the USDA based on average annual minimum winter temperatures. It helps determine which plants will thrive in your location. We detect yours automatically from your ZIP code.

Can I try Simply Garden for free?+
Yes! The Windowsill Dreamer plan is free forever. You get 1 garden plan, 5 starter crops, and a basic 12-month calendar. No credit card required.
What's the difference between the one-time purchase and a subscription?+
The Weekend Warrior ($8, one-time) gives you a full calendar with 15 crops — great if you just want the data without ongoing features. Subscriptions (Dirt Enthusiast and Soil Whisperer) add alerts, community access, and advanced tools that update throughout the year.
Can I switch plans?+
Anytime. Upgrade or downgrade from your account settings. Your calendar data and garden plans carry over between plans.
Do annual plans auto-renew?+
Yes, but we'll email you a reminder 7 days before renewal. You can cancel anytime from your account settings — no hoops to jump through.

Can I export my calendar?+
All paid plans include PDF export. Soil Whisperer adds CSV export and calendar sync (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar).
Account & data
Do you sell my data?+
Never. We don't sell, share, or use your data to train AI models. Your garden is your business.
Can I delete my account?+
Yes. Go to account settings and click "Delete account." All your data is permanently removed within 30 days.
What happens to my data if I cancel?+
Your calendar and garden data stay accessible in read-only mode for 90 days after cancellation. After that, it's deleted unless you resubscribe.
